Product details

Background & context

The cliffs of Normandy were an obstacle of their own for the landings. At Pointe du Hoc, between Utah and Omaha beaches, American Rangers climbed rock walls about 30 metres high on 6 June 1944 to knock out the coastal guns believed to be there. As scenery for beach scenarios, cliffs therefore stand for those sectors where the terrain itself helped the defenders.

On the tabletop

The end piece forms the left edge of a coastal layout and attaches to the middle cliff parts. The coast ends cleanly instead of staying open at the edge of the table. A building guide comes with the kit, but you can rebuild it to your own taste and vary the course of the shoreline.
