Product details

Background & context

The concrete bunkers of the Atlantic Wall were often standard designs built to fixed plans, with walls up to two metres thick. Many of them covered the beach from the side, so attackers hardly saw them from the front. The battery at Longues-sur-Mer, whose bunkers still stand today, shows this method of construction down to the detail.

On the tabletop

The roof of the bunker lifts off easily. That lets you place guns, machine guns or crew models inside before you put it back. The bunker links with the cliffs, the machine gun nest and the end pieces and serves as the core of a defensive sector or as an objective for the attacker.
