Product details

Background & context

The Fiat 626 was the standard transport vehicle of the Italian armed forces in World War II and proved its worth under the harsh conditions of North Africa as well as on the European mainland. France received 700 units, Bulgaria 100 - making the 626 a true multi-front vehicle. After the Italian armistice in 1943, the Wehrmacht took over captured stock and continued to use the robust truck. Production continued until 1948, exceeding a total of 10,000 manufactured units.

On the tabletop

The Fiat 626 is the standard medium lorry of your Italian army in Bolt Action. In the game you field it as a transport using the truck entry among the common transport vehicles in the rulebook. It brings troops and supplies forward or tows a gun, but being unarmoured it does not belong in the line of fire. After the 1943 armistice the Wehrmacht kept the existing trucks running, so the model also fits a German army in Italy or the Balkans.
