    Background & context

    In Polen und Frankreich reichte die 3,7-cm-Pak 36 noch, gegen die schweren französischen und später sowjetischen Typen prallte sie ab - im Osten hieß sie bei der Truppe nur noch Heeresanklopfgerät. Weil Ersatz fehlte, schob man ab 1942 die Stielgranate 41 über die Mündung, eine übergroße Hohlladung, die aus knapp zweihundert Metern fast jede Panzerung aufriss. Näher heran musste die Bedienung allerdings erst einmal kommen.

    On the tabletop

    This Pak 36 carries the Stielgranate 41, a large hollow-charge round that fits over the end of the barrel. In Bolt Action the gun stays a light anti-tank gun, but the Stielgranate raises its penetration at short range. From 1942 that gives you an answer to better-armoured targets, though you have to let the enemy come close. Three crew figures in early-war dress are included.
