    Background & context

    In Polen und Frankreich reichte die 3,7-cm-Pak für fast alles, was ihr vor die Mündung kam. Gegen T-34 und Matilda war sie dann nichts mehr wert, und die Besatzungen tauften sie Heeresanklopfgerät. Trotzdem verschwand sie nie ganz: klein, leicht zu tragen und im Gelände kaum zu sehen. Mit der Stielgranate 41, einer aufgesteckten Hohlladung, konnte sie bis zuletzt Panzer aufbrechen.

    On the tabletop

    In 1939 the 3.7 cm Pak 36 was the standard weapon of the German anti-tank units, and in your Blitzkrieg list for Bolt Action it is the light anti-tank gun. In Poland and France it copes with most vehicles, but thick armour like that of the Matilda or T-34 is largely beyond it. Small and accurate, it disappears easily into cover, and almost any vehicle can tow it. Three early-war Heer crew serve it.
