Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

In the German army the light and the medium machine gun were the same weapon, usually the MG34 and later the MG42. Because the heavy tripod was too cumbersome for many squads, small teams fired from the bipod, just like these four metal figures. They are modelled on the machine gun teams of the infantry anti-tank companies, which protected the anti-tank guns from enemy infantry. In Bolt Action, place them next to your anti-tank gun for the campaigns of 1939 to 1942 to keep enemy squads away from it.
