Background & context

The British Expeditionary Force stood in France and Belgium in 1939 and 1940: small in numbers, but the only fully motorised army of that time. Against the German tanks of those months an anti-tank rifle was still enough, because the early types were thinly enough armoured for a well-placed shot to tell. Light mortars and sniper pairs took on the fine work against cover and command personnel. Just how short-lived this balance was became clear in May 1940.

On the tabletop

Against the thinly armoured German tanks of 1940, an anti-tank rifle could still do the job if the shot was well placed. This set gives your BEF platoon in Bolt Action three two-man teams: the anti-tank rifle against light vehicles, a light mortar firing in an arc at enemies behind cover, and snipers against officers and leaders. All figures are cast in Warlord Resin Plus, and three order dice are included.
