This German-language Battle of the Bulge starter set introduces Bolt Action: Third Edition. It contains rule material, US winter infantry, German paratroopers, an M8 Greyhound/M20, a destroyed farmhouse, as well as game markers and dice.

The plastic models are supplied unpainted and unassembled and depict battles in the wintry Ardennes.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Battle of the Bulge was the last major German offensive in the West, beginning in December 1944. In the snow-covered forests of Belgium, German units, including paratroopers, encountered US units fighting under difficult weather and terrain conditions. The set depicts this late stage of the war with winter infantry, a US armored car, and destroyed terrain. It is suitable for scenarios involving mobile advances, defensive lines, and close-quarters combat in the Ardennes.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Starter Set provides two small introductory forces for Bolt Action and is directly suitable for scenarios in the Ardennes. The US Winter Infantry holds ground and establishes firing lines, while the German Fallschirmjäger can be used as aggressive, resilient infantry. The M8 Greyhound/M20 brings mobile reconnaissance and vehicle support to the game, and the farmhouse terrain creates cover and mission objectives.
