Background & context

Kein Baron hielt sich eine stehende Truppe. Ins Feld kam, wer musste: Ritter aus Lehnspflicht, bezahlte Serjeants und die Levy aus den Dörfern, ausgerüstet mit dem, was daheim an der Wand hing. Deshalb sieht ein Gefecht dieser Zeit so ungleich aus, Panzerreiter neben Bauern mit Speer und Beil. Gekämpft wurde an Zäunen, Marktplätzen und Feldbefestigungen, nicht auf der offenen Ebene.

On the tabletop

Fußritter, Foot Serjeants und Peasant Levy verteilt ihr auf zwei Gefolge, sodass jede Seite eine gepanzerte Spitze, eine Kerntruppe und eine Masse aus dem Dorfaufgebot bekommt. Wer allein anfängt, baut aus allen 12 Rittern, 18 Serjeants und 24 Levy ein großes Gefolge. Die Geländeteile ergeben bis zu 8 Barrikaden oder einen Marktplatz, um den gekämpft wird. Jeder Spieler nimmt die zehnseitigen Würfel einer Farbe, dazu kommen die Moralwürfel und die Marker vom doppelseitigen Bogen, alle Figuren stehen auf den 25-mm-Rundbases. Das Einsteigerheft bringt euch in die ersten Partien, das Regelbuch der zweiten Edition liefert den Rest.
