    Nach Nordafrika war Neuguinea ein Schock: Statt offener Sicht bis zum Horizont standen die Australier 1942/43 in Regenwald, in dem zwanzig Meter schon zu weit waren. Entlang des Kokoda Track und im Owen-Stanley-Gebirge entschied nicht Feuerkraft, sondern wer den anderen zuerst erkannte. Wer vorn ging, hatte die kürzeste Lebenserwartung im Zug, deshalb wanderte dieser Posten laufend durch die Sektion.

    On the tabletop

    Scouts led the Australian platoon in New Guinea while its main strength stayed in reserve until the enemy revealed himself. That is how you use these three metal figures in Bolt Action: ahead of your sections, checking cover and spotting Japanese ambushes early. The light tropical kit suits games on the Kokoda Track and in the Owen Stanley Range in 1942 and 1943. Because the point man was in the greatest danger, the job was rotated regularly.
