    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The British 8th Army was one of the defining ground forces of World War II, fighting in some of the war's toughest campaigns - from the North African desert to the battlefields of Italy. Specialized weapons teams, such as anti-tank and sniper groups, were indispensable elements of every combat formation. At the beginning of the war, the QF 2-pounder was considered a state-of-the-art standard weapon of British anti-tank defense and proved to be quite effective against lightly armored vehicles. British snipers, on the other hand, were designed for precision and camouflage - their equipment included optical sights as well as material for self-protection and reconnaissance.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Weapon teams offer a Bolt Action force tactical depth that pure infantry formations alone cannot achieve. An anti-tank team forces the opponent to handle their vehicles carefully and noticeably restricts aggressive tank tactics. The sniper team, on the other hand, is effective by threatening key positions and increasing pressure on enemy units in cover. Together, both units are excellently suited for scenarios that replicate the battles of British forces in North Africa or other early and mid-war theaters.
