Japanese Assault Frame Infantry are specialist close-combat troops in light armoured exoskeletons, derived from Battle Frames and optimised for urban warfare. Equipped with SMGs and Rift-hardened close combat blades, they are the melee punch of the Japanese doctrine in Konflikt '47.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47 conflict universe, Assault Frame armor was developed as a modification of the original Battle Frames for close-quarters combat. The Japanese high command demanded a more agile exoskeleton, better suited for urban warfare, particularly to penetrate the bunker lines of the US Marines in the Pacific. The frames are equipped with SMGs and a rift-hardened melee blade, crafted from a specially developed alloy. Soldiers consider mastery of these blades a matter of honor and train to a high level of proficiency. On the tabletop, they provide the Japanese army, which otherwise operates at a distance, with the necessary close-combat breakthrough.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Assault-Frame Armoured Infantry Squad is the Japanese Power-Armour variant: 5 models in a light exoskeleton with an SMG and a Rift close-combat blade. In the game, they act as a fast assault squad - quicker than German Steel Troops, but less heavily armoured. Special Rules like 'Honour Charge' and 'Bushido Spirit' make them an aggressive close-combat unit that is deadly with its blade in close quarters.
