    Ein britischer Kriegsherr führte nicht über eine Befehlskette, sondern durch Anwesenheit. Er ritt dorthin, wo es eng wurde, und sein Gefolge - oft Verwandte und Ziehsöhne - ritt mit ihm. Feldzeichen und bemalte Schilde waren die einzige Möglichkeit, im Getümmel zu erkennen, wo der Anführer steckte. Fiel er, löste sich die Streitmacht meist auf, weil die Gefolgschaft an seine Person gebunden war und nicht an ein Königreich.

    On the tabletop

    A British warlord of the Arthurian age led by being present, not through a long chain of command. These three metal riders let you field him and his retinue in Hail Caesar, SAGA or Pillage, either as your army commander or at the head of a cavalry unit. If the leader fell, his force usually broke up, because his followers were bound to him personally. Combined with the knights of packs A and B they give you a led Romano-British cavalry force.
