Product details

Background & context

The leichte Feldhaubitze 18 was the backbone of the German divisional artillery and fired 10.5cm shells to a range of over ten kilometres. In North Africa it arrived with the first formations of the Afrika Korps in 1941 and engaged positions, gun batteries and concentrations of vehicles. Because the desert offered hardly any cover, indirect fire often decided there who could move at all.

On the tabletop

The 10.5 cm leFH 18 came to North Africa as Afrika Korps divisional artillery, and in Bolt Action it is a medium howitzer for your artillery platoon. It fires in an arc at infantry, guns and groups of vehicles, preparing your own advances or breaking up enemy ones. Because the desert fighting moved fast, it often ended up closer to the enemy than planned, so keep squads ready to protect it. Four metal crew and an oval MDF base are included.
