Product details

Background & context

The quarter-ton MB-T trailer was developed alongside the Willys MB and practically doubled its load space. Willys-Overland and American Bantam built it in tens of thousands; in it the Army hauled ammunition, jerrycans, radio equipment, rations and medical supplies along behind. Because it shared track width and wheels with the Jeep, it got everywhere the towing vehicle could get through. In photographs from Normandy it hangs off every second vehicle.

On the tabletop

This small single-axle trailer belongs behind your Rubicon Willys MB and in service almost doubled the jeep's load space. The US Army used it to haul ammunition, fuel cans, radios and medical supplies. Unhitched, it serves as a supply dump, ammunition store or objective; hitched up, it shows a jeep on supply duty. The kit has eight parts on a single sprue.
