Product details

Background & context

The early T-34 ran with a crew of four, and the commander had to lay the gun as well, one of the reasons why Soviet formations were so hard to lead in 1941 and 1942. Only the T-34/85 brought the fifth man and with him a commander who could really observe. The black tank overalls and the padded leather helmet make a Red Army crew instantly recognisable on any table. If you place the figures outside, they tell of repairs, rest or loss all by themselves.

On the tabletop

These four tank crewmen suit any Soviet tank, for example a T-34 on the Eastern Front. Separate heads, arms and torsos let you build different poses, so the commanders in the turret hatches of several tanks do not look alike. Stand the men next to the vehicle and they show a rest stop or a repair. With twenty-three parts on two sprues they are quick to build.
