    Beschreibung

    The Steyr 1500A/01 was one of the most widely used light transport vehicles of the Wehrmacht - from the Eastern Front to North Africa. This kit allows construction as a classic troop transport vehicle or as a field-modified anti-aircraft vehicle with a 2cm FlaK 38. Doors, tarpaulin, and armament are freely selectable.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Steyr 1500A was produced by the Austrian manufacturer Steyr-Daimler-Puch starting in September 1941, with Auto Union and Audi later joining in its production. The vehicle was used by almost all branches of the Wehrmacht - from the Waffen-SS to the Afrika Korps. The 1500A/01 variant with an internally mounted spare wheel was manufactured between September 1941 and August 1942; thereafter, the spare wheel was moved to the exterior. By the time production ceased in March 1944, a total of around 18,050 units had been built, many of which remained active until the end of the war.

    The Steyr 1500A/01 is a heavy German off-road vehicle and transporter with several build options. In the game, it can represent commands, small squads, or support roles. The field-modified 2cm Flak option also makes it usable as a light anti-aircraft platform with appropriate equipment.
