The Sd.Kfz. 10 was the smallest and most frequently built German half-track of World War II. As a prime mover for light guns such as the 2cm FlaK 30 or the 3.7cm PaK 36, it was ubiquitous on all theaters of war. The Rubicon kit comprises 97 parts on 3 sprues and offers options with and without canvas cover, as well as the basic platform for the Sd.Kfz. 10/4 anti-aircraft version.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The SdKfz 10 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 10) was the smallest of the German half-track prime movers, developed by Demag between 1934 and 1938. Its primary role was to tow light artillery pieces such as the 2cm FlaK 30, the 7.5cm light infantry gun, or the 3.7cm PaK 36, while also transporting up to eight soldiers. With approximately 14,000 units produced between 1938 and 1945, it was one of the most widely manufactured German tactical vehicles of the war. The SdKfz 10 chassis also served as the design basis for the more well-known SdKfz 250. It saw service in nearly all theaters of war - from Poland to North Africa and the Eastern Front.

The SdKfz 10 is a light half-track tractor for artillery and transport tasks. In the game, it can move crews, equipment, or light trailers and escort support weapons. The SdKfz-10/4 base platform also allows for the depiction of anti-aircraft conversions, if appropriately modeled.
