    The Rubicon Models BA-3 / BA-6 Heavy Armoured Car is a 1/56 plastic kit for a Soviet heavy armoured car from the 1930s. The kit offers a choice of BA-3 and BA-6, open or closed turret hatches, and optional auxiliary tracks for the rear wheels.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The BA-3 was developed in the Soviet Union in 1933, followed by the slightly modified BA-6 in 1936. Both vehicles used the turret of contemporary Soviet tanks such as the T-26 M33 and BT-5 and were armed with a 45mm cannon. Rubicon states they saw service in the Spanish Civil War, at Khalkhin Gol, in the Winter War, and in the early phases of the Eastern Front. Their strong armament made them dangerous reconnaissance vehicles, but due to their thin armor, they remained vulnerable to heavy machine guns and light cannons.

    The BA-3/BA-6 Heavy Armoured Car is a Soviet heavy armored reconnaissance vehicle for the early war years. In the game, it provides reconnaissance pressure and armament that is powerful for a scout car, but remains vulnerable to stronger tanks. It is particularly suitable for early Eastern Front and Finland scenarios.
