    The Krupp Protze was the workhorse of the early Wehrmacht - as Kfz 69 it pulled the PaK 36 into position, as Kfz 70 it transported motorized infantry to the front. The kit from Rubicon Models can be built in either of these variants and offers several display options for the tailgate and tarpaulin.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Krupp Protze - officially the L2 H43 or L2 H143 - was a six-wheeled 6x4 truck that was built in around 7,000 units from 1934 to 1941. As the Kfz 69, it mainly towed the PaK 36, and as the Kfz 70, it transported motorized infantry. The vehicle was present on almost all theaters of war: France, North Africa, the Eastern Front, and Sicily. Despite its solid construction, its fuel consumption was considered high compared to the Opel Blitz, which is why it was gradually replaced.
