    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Chevrolet 1533x2 30cwt was a Canadian 1.5-ton 4x2 truck from the Modified Conventional Pattern vehicle group. It became particularly well-known in service with the British Long Range Desert Group, where it was used for reconnaissance, observation, and long-range missions behind enemy lines. Rubicon describes the Chevrolet 30cwt primarily for North Africa, but also for Italy and the Balkans. From March 1942, 200 specially ordered Canadian Chevrolet 1533x2 30cwt vehicles gradually replaced the LRDG's previous Ford 30cwt trucks.

    The Chevrolet WB 30cwt Truck is a desert vehicle for LRDG-like long-range reconnaissance and raiding roles. In the game, it is suitable for fast flanking maneuvers, scenario objectives, and mobile machine gun support. Thematically, it clearly belongs in North Africa and should not be treated as a Late-War standard vehicle.
