Product details

Background & context

Not every town was reduced to rubble in 1944. When the German forces withdrew rapidly after their defeat in Normandy, many places in France and Belgium fell almost without a fight. British tanks reached Brussels on 3 September 1944 and were welcomed by cheering crowds. A few weeks later, however, towns in the Netherlands and on the Lower Rhine were once again right on the front line.

On the tabletop

Set the four houses wall to wall and you have a closed street front that breaks lines of sight across the table. Spread out loosely, they mark the edge of a village with room for vehicles between the buildings. Infantry can hug the house walls and advance under their protection. Together with the 15 mm ruin sets you build streets that have suffered to different degrees.
