    When the US Army proved the effectiveness of the Tesla Cannon on Sherman chassis, research continued towards smaller and lighter versions. In January 1947, the breakthrough to a lighter, towed system was achieved; by June 1947, the towed Tesla anti-tank gun was deployed in combat. The majority of these weapons were issued to armoured infantry units. This pack contains the Tesla AT Gun with the US Army crew.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    In the Conflict '47 universe, Tesla weapon technology is one of the Allies' most important Rift-Tech developments. After the Tesla cannon was successfully deployed on the Sherman platform, researchers pushed for miniaturized and improved versions - especially for the large power cells. In January 1947, a breakthrough allowed for the first field trials with lighter, towed systems, and by June 1947, the towed Tesla Anti-Tank Cannon (M17 on Carriage M3) was in combat. Since most of the guns originally went to Armored Infantry units, the crew wears the same heavy power armor as the infantry - this provides radiation protection and protection from enemy fire and allows the gun to operate far forward. On the battlefield, the Tesla AT Cannon provides deadly direct-fire support against the heaviest Axis vehicles thanks to electrical arc effects that turn armor into electrified death traps.

    The Tesla AT Gun (US Army crew) is the US variant of the Towed Tesla Anti-Tank gun with a Heavy Powered Armour Crew. The set includes the gun plus 3 US Army Crewmen. In the game, the Tesla gun acts as a specialised anti-vehicle weapon with electric arc effects against walkers and tanks. The crew in power armour can set up the gun far forward on the main battle line, where the Tesla effect can be fully utilised with an increased hit chance against Vehicles.
