Product details

Background & context

Rendered brick walls enclosed farms, churchyards and gardens across France, Belgium and Italy. Where the plaster falls away the red brickwork beneath shows through, a sight that became common in contested villages within days. For infantry such a wall was often the only solid cover between two houses, and many a street fight turned on who held it.

On the tabletop

A single wall section is mainly a filler: attach it to an existing wall, mark a garden boundary behind a house or close off an alley between two buildings. At 6 inches long it gives a unit behind it cover in Bolt Action. Standing on its own in an open field it reads as the remains of a ruined enclosure and offers a weapon team a protected spot.
