Product details

Background & context

Long runs of wall shaped many villages in Western Europe: they lined the main street, separated farmyards from the lane and enclosed churches and their graveyards. In battle they became ready-made defensive lines, and engineers blew holes through them so that their own infantry did not have to climb over the top. Whoever held such a line could block the road behind it for a long time.

On the tabletop

With four sections you can build a continuous line in Bolt Action that splits the table in two, or enclose a farm on three sides. Units behind the wall have cover, while anyone trying to cross it needs time or a gap. Leave spaces between the pieces and you create openings on which the defender can focus his fire. Add corner pieces to close the layout into a full square.
