Through espionage, scientific evaluation of prisoners of war, and defecting researchers, the Soviet Union gained fundamental knowledge of German super-soldier programs in Konflikt '47. In an attempt to make soldiers immune to the Siberian cold, the 'Ghouls' of the Siberian Terror Squad were created - with antifreeze in their blood, immune to cold and fire, and with an ice-cold touch as a melee weapon.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47 conflict universe, the Soviet DNA enhancement program produced some of the war's most terrifying results. Based on knowledge from the German super-soldier program and with the aim of making Siberian soldiers impervious to cold, a completely new species was created instead: the 'Ghouls'. With a form of antifreeze in their blood, they are immune to cold and fire; their touch instantly freezes tissue. On the battlefield, the Siberian Terror Squads are fast, fanatical, and fearless - they ignore flamethrower attacks, break through enemy lines, and use their brutal close-combat strength against defenders.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Soviet Siberian Terror Squad is a Soviet ghoul unit from the Rift-Tech program. 5 mutated soldiers act as a brutal close-combat shock unit with Special Rules like 'Frenzy' and 'Tough'. In-game, they are used similarly to Terrorgheists: rapid advance through cover, then Close Quarters Engagement against enemy HQs, MG Teams, or Snipers. Ideal as a special squad in an Ursus-focused Soviet list.
