    The Mastodon is the heaviest tracked vehicle in the Soviet Bloc's arsenal - massively armoured, mobile, and mechanically reliable. The challenging requirement of placing the main gun in a turret was met by Soviet engineering with a characteristically massive result. What it lacks in elegance, it more than makes up for in sheer firepower and robustness.

    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    After the Soviet bloc suffered heavy losses from German Thor and Wotan tank mechs, enormous development efforts were undertaken to replicate their effect. After capturing a Thor, multi-legged technology was successfully reverse-engineered and further developed. The result is the Mastadon - designed as a mobile fortress, intended to crush enemy positions with immense firepower. Its only weakness lies in the limited availability of Soviet Rift-Tech, which restricts production numbers.

    Soviet Mastadon Heavy Walker is a Conflict '47 walker from The Soviet Bloc faction with a clear anti-tank or tank hunter role. On the tabletop, it threatens enemy tanks, heavy walkers, and other hard targets while still maintaining the mobility of a walker.
