Beschreibung

While the T-34/ZP did a good job of supporting heavy assault regiments, the heavily armoured KV turret offered a more robust platform for the Zvukovoy Projektor. The KV-mounted ZP could disrupt enemy formations before the assault wave hit, and take heavier punishment than the T-34. This turret is precisely matched to Warlord Games' plastic KV1/2.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the Conflict '47 universe, the KV1/2 heavy tank has seen a resurgence with the advent of the Rifts and new Rift-tech weaponry: Following the T-34/ZP's success on the front lines, the Zvukovoy Projektor was also mounted on the more heavily armored KV platform. The large KV hull made the integration of the first turret-mounted ZPs a relatively straightforward task. The KV-ZP Infantry Support Tank had a sobering effect on both Axis and Allied troops when it first appeared on the front lines - the Soviet deployment of Rift-tech battlefield weapons had come years earlier than expected. Compared to the T-34/ZP, the KV-ZP could withstand significantly heavier return fire, thus remaining functional as a ZP platform even in longer engagements - ideal for disrupting enemy formations before a wave of attack.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Soviet KV1/2 ZP Turret is a resin conversion kit that allows an existing plastic KV1/2 to be converted into a K47-KV-ZP. In-game, the KV-ZP supplements Soviet lists as a heavily armored mobile suppression platform. The turret alone does not provide a playable unit - the buyer requires a separate KV1/2 body. Ideal as an inexpensive expansion for players who already have a KV1/2 in their Bolt Action collection.
