    In the Conflict '47 universe, Captain Harris 'Slammer' Samuels is one of the most successful paragons from the very beginnings of the program and a public hero in the USA - his battlefield exploits are glorified in US Army newsreels. Samuels has proven to be an anomaly: his enhanced physique, endurance, and performance are difficult to replicate, and the program has since been trying to reconstruct the success factors. Samuels is armed with an experimental Heavy Tesla Rifle (two settings: Dispersed Fire 6-12 inches Pen 0 ROF 3, Focused Fire 12-24 inches Pen +2 ROF 1) - US scientists have miniaturized Tesla Rift technology sufficiently for it to be viable as an infantry weapon. Samuels' Special Rules typically include Fast, Tough, and Immune to Horror, plus Inspirational - troops nearby improve their Order tests. Those who order the Conflict '47 hardcover rulebook directly from Warlord will receive the model as a free bonus.
