Background & context

The Sea Peoples are considered in the context of ancient warfare in the Eastern Mediterranean. As a collective term, it describes several groups that appear in Egyptian and Levantine contexts during the Late Bronze Age. Such troops were employed in armies characterized by diverse weapons, levels of protection, and tactical roles. For tabletop armies, the set provides a clear historical building block for Late Bronze Age warrior groups and Hail Caesar armies. The classification is based on the depicted troop type and the historical framework described by the manufacturer.

On the tabletop

The second set of Sea Peoples warriors widens your war band in Hail Caesar or Clash of Spears with eight more figures in different poses. The reliefs at Medinet Habu show the Sea Peoples with ships, ox carts and whole families, more like migrating groups than a pure army. This suggests scenarios in which you defend a column with its baggage against Egyptian troops. These warriors too can be painted for any of the nine tribes.
