Product details

Background & context

What we know about the Sea Peoples comes almost entirely from their enemies: Egyptian inscriptions at Medinet Habu name groups such as the Peleset, Sherden and Shekelesh and show naval battles in the Nile Delta. Around 1200 BC, Hattusa, Ugarit and the Mycenaean palaces collapsed within a few decades. Whether the Sea Peoples were the cause or a consequence of this collapse remains an open question - on the gaming table they stand as a raiding coalition with their own war equipment.

On the tabletop

The second version of the Sea Peoples chariot comes with its own metal crew and joins the first to form a small chariot group in Hail Caesar. Use it to attack exposed flanks or to run down foot troops that are already shaken. What we know of the Sea Peoples comes almost entirely from Egyptian sources such as the inscriptions at Medinet Habu, which also show sea battles in the Nile Delta. On the table you field them as a raiding coalition with war machines of their own.
