Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

This box lets you field the manipular legion of the mid Republic for Hail Caesar: 16 hastati, 16 principes, 8 kneeling triarii and 16 unarmoured men as velites, extra hastati or rorarii. Arranged in three successive lines, the ranks relieve one another in combat, with the velites skirmishing in front. Suitable conflicts are the wars against the Gauls, Samnites and Pyrrhus, the Punic Wars and the campaigns against Macedon and the Seleucids. Several boxes build a complete legion.
