Product details

Background & context

Picket and palisade fences stood around farmyards, orchards and cattle paddocks all over Europe. In combat they offered no real protection, but they blocked sight, forced attackers into gaps and gates and turned a field into terrain with edges. That is exactly why gaming tables with fences look more ordered at once: movement follows paths and openings rather than the shortest line.

On the tabletop

Two plastic frames with eight 75 mm fence sections and ten posts give you 600 mm of palisade fencing. Use it to mark off yards, orchards and paddocks instead of letting units cross an empty green field. In Bolt Action the fence blocks sight and forces attackers through gaps and gates, even though it offers no real protection. Fences like this stood all over Europe.
