Description

The US Paragon Program is a top-secret application of Rift-Tech science that enhances human genetics and biology at a molecular level. Results have been highly variable, but the success rate justifies its continuation. Few candidates respond as potently as the renowned Captain Samuels, yet many Paragons exhibit almost equally powerful abilities. With great media fanfare, the Paragon Trooper was unveiled as an answer to German super-soldier programs - and with the mission to hunt the Night Hunters, he has bolstered the morale of Allied forces.

Product details

Background & context

In the Konflikt '47 universe, America's Paragon Program is its answer to German supersoldier initiatives: through Rift-Tech-induced genetic and biological modifications, selected veteran soldiers are enhanced at a molecular level. The success rate is mixed - many candidates do not react to the treatment or genetically reject it - but those who do become elite operators with Fast, Tough, and Immune to Horror Special Rules. In the Resurgence supplement (page 44), the Paragon Squad is played as a three-man unit, each comprised of six unique named characters - each with their own special ability, which also grants the entire squad an additional special rule. The model set includes miniatures of all named personalities plus Captain Harris 'Slammer' Samuels, the first and most famous of the Paragons. These models can also serve as NCOs for Paragon Support Units (Defiance supplement, page 50). Those who order the Konflikt '47 Rulebook directly from Warlord will receive a special edition of Slammer Samuels.

On the tabletop

Seven Paragon Troopers form a squad of genetically enhanced US soldiers in Konflikt '47, America's answer to the German super-soldiers. Their mission is to hunt the Nachtjäger, so you set them deliberately against the Axis Rift creatures. Not all of them match the abilities of the famous Captain Samuels, but some come close. As a small elite unit you deploy them where ordinary infantry achieves little against such opponents.
