Product details

Background & context

Most buildings on the contested islands were not villas but small dwellings and outbuildings made of light materials. They stood up to practically no fire and yet remained tactically important, because they stood in groups and left narrow paths between them. An attack through such a settlement was therefore not an assault on one building but a matter of working forward from ruin to ruin.

On the tabletop

This small ruin works best in multiples, because only in groups do they form a shattered settlement with narrow paths in between. Advancing squads use the broken walls as a stepping stone, defenders as a position that can be held on its own. The access points let you place figures inside. The MDF kit from the Pacific Theatre range is small enough to fill gaps between the larger buildings.
