Product details

Background & context

Battles in the Pacific often began with days of naval gunfire and air attacks before a single landing craft touched the beach. Of an island's few solid buildings, seldom more than the masonry was standing afterwards. Exactly these remains became the problem: defenders settled into the rubble, and the attacker had to clear every room one by one.

On the tabletop

The large ruin is the place for a room-by-room fight. After artillery and air attacks, often only the masonry of an island's solid buildings remained, and defenders dug in among it. On your table, send infantry in through the open walls, and whoever holds the rubble at the end takes the objective. With shattered walls instead of intact facades, it is the counterpart to the undamaged large building in the range.
