Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Numidian horsemen fought with javelins and a small round shield and rode without a saddle. In Hail Caesar or Clash of Spears these three metal figures are light cavalry that ride in, throw their javelins and pull away again instead of seeking a head-on clash. They fought both with and against the Romans, at Cannae for instance on Hannibal's side. That is why they fit into Carthaginian as well as Roman armies.
