    Background & context

    The first British automatons went down badly with the troops. Nobody liked the idea of a tin box holding the position next door, and the nickname Tinheads was not meant kindly. That only changed in action against the Axis Rift creatures, where the automatons stood their ground when men would long since have run. After that nobody argued any more about whether such a machine belonged in the platoon.

    On the tabletop

    Five Mk I automatons with medium machine guns form a fire squad for British and Commonwealth lists in Konflikt '47. They move less nimbly than human soldiers, but they take a lot of damage and know neither fear nor fatigue. Place the squad where it has to keep a sector under fire for a long time, for example facing the Axis Rift creatures. Mk II automatons nearby improve their accuracy by radio.
