Hintergrund & Einordnung

In the '47-Universe conflict, British scientists succeeded in combining Alan Turing's early computers with Rift-Tech insights, creating a rudimentary but practically usable AI. The first Mk-I automatons - 10-foot-tall, fully automated combat machines - were deployed starting in 1946 to keep human soldiers out of the most costly tasks. Initially viewed with suspicion by regular troops, the 'Tinheads' earned respect, especially in the fight against the genetically engineered Axis horrors: they know neither fear nor exhaustion and fire relentlessly as long as their ammunition lasts.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Mk I Automated Infantry with MMG is the firepower variant of the British Automaton line. In the game, the 5 robots act as an MMG support squad, providing sustained anti-personnel fire from medium range. They are ideal as a defensive unit in fortified positions or for securing flanks in a Galahad-focused list, where they support heavy robots (Mk II) and regular infantry.
