The Mahmot is the Soviet answer to the heavy Axis tank mechs. The OKMO design bureau developed Object 231, a four-legged heavy walker chassis based on the captured Axis Thor - instead of complex six-legged or bipedal configurations, the Mahmot relies on a straightforward, reliable quadruped platform with massive armament.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

Despite the successes of the Kazak Light Walker, Soviet forces suffered significant losses in every encounter with heavy Axis tank mechs. A quick countermeasure was needed. The OKMO design bureau at the Bolshevik Works in Leningrad was tasked with developing Object 231 - a heavy multi-legged walker chassis derived from the captured Axis Thor. Instead of the complex six-legged design or the technically challenging bipedal configurations, a straightforward and reliable four-legged structure was developed. Originally conceived as a mobile bunker, the designers drew on the multi-turret concept of the Soviet T-35 from the 1930s.

The Mahmot Heavy Walker is a Conflict '47 walker for the Soviet Bloc faction. On the tabletop, it brings mobile firepower, objective presence, and pressure against infantry or light vehicles.
