Background & context

The Kazak was enough for the Soviet formations against light targets, but not against the heavy Panzermechs of the Axis. The answer came from the OKMO at the Bolshevik Works in Leningrad, which had a template on the table in the shape of the captured Thor. Instead of six legs or the tricky balance of two, the designers chose four legs, because above all the walker had to be reliable. For the armament they went back to an old idea: the multi-turret layout of the T-35 from the thirties.

On the tabletop

The Mahmot is the Soviet Bloc heavy walker in Konflikt '47 and the answer to the heavy Axis panzermechs the Kazak could not stand up to. The OKMO design bureau in Leningrad took the captured Thor as its model but chose four legs, because the machine above all had to be reliable. It was conceived as a mobile bunker with several turrets, following the example of the T-35. On the table, place it on an objective and hold it while the rest of your army advances.
