Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

Sculpted by Steve Saleh, these three command figures stand in front of your sarissa phalanx in Hail Caesar, as officers of a phalangite block or as commander of a division. The phalanx stood sixteen ranks deep and only moved in good order while officers kept pace and spacing. Once that order was lost the block could barely hold in close combat, as later happened against Rome at Cynoscephalae and Pydna. On the table you therefore keep your phalanx closed up and protect its flanks.
