Product details

Background & context

The Jackal is not a new development but a derivative of the Coyote: where the latter was designed for firepower, the US designers traded armament for Rift repulsors and gained the ability to jump in return. For the Airborne divisions that was exactly the point, because dropped troops have no tanks with them and need something that jumps along. It remains lightly armoured all the same, and the crews accept that.

On the tabletop

The Jackal is the light support walker of American airborne troops in Konflikt '47. Derived from the Coyote, it trades armament for repulsorlifts that let it jump quickly to another part of the battlefield. That allows it to accompany paratroopers who otherwise have no vehicles with them. An arm-mounted flamethrower is included as an option to drive enemies out of buildings and cover. It remains lightly armoured, so keep it out of heavy fire.
