Product details

Background & context

The Coyote is one of the first American walker designs and is more armoured suit than vehicle: one man, two legs, enough steel to ignore rifle fire. It was conceived as a stopgap between infantry and the heavy striding machines, and it ended up above all in house-to-house fighting. The Commonwealth adopted the design and rebuilt it as the Guardian, with a flamethrower instead of a machine gun, because bunkers and cellar positions can be cleared faster with it than with bullets.

On the tabletop

This kit builds either the American M5A2 Coyote or the British Guardian. The Coyote is one of the first US walkers in Konflikt '47, a compact one-man vehicle armed against infantry. If you build the Guardian, it carries a flamethrower to drive dug-in enemies out of bunkers and cellars. Both versions are meant for urban fighting, where they move with the infantry through narrow streets and ruins.
