Description

The Sherman-T turret with the M17 Tesla Cannon is America’s pioneering achievement in adapting Rift-Tech energy weapons for tank platforms. As a separate resin turret, it offers US players the opportunity to convert an existing M4 Sherman kit into a Sherman-T - the tank body is needed separately.

Product details

Background & context

In Konflikt '47 the Second World War takes a different course when the Rift places unfamiliar technology in the hands of the warring nations. The USA draws on the work of Nikola Tesla and builds energy weapons whose discharges penetrate armour. The Sherman-T came about when the heavy Tesla cannon and its coils were squeezed into a standard turret - a compromise that leaves the crew cramped, but hits tanks and infantry alike. On the gaming table it represents the US doctrine of upgrading proven chassis with Rift technology rather than building new tanks from scratch.

On the tabletop

With this resin turret and its M17 Tesla cannon, a M4 Sherman from your collection becomes a Sherman-T for Konflikt '47, using the hull from your own kit. Tesla's energy weapons work against heavily armoured vehicles, and with a dispersion setting just as well against infantry squads. Their range is short, and the glow of the coils makes ambushes and night fighting difficult. In return, the electrical arcs have a strong effect on enemy morale.
