Product details

Background & context

The M46 came about as a thorough reworking of the M26 Pershing: new engine, new transmission, revised 90mm gun. On 8 August 1950 the 6th Tank Battalion landed the first vehicles in South Korea, where they prevailed against the People's Army's T-34/85s. It remained the type's only combat deployment in American hands, and from 1952 the M47 replaced it. Its path led from the defence of the Pusan Perimeter to fire support for the Marines at Inchon.

On the tabletop

The M46 Patton belongs not to the Second World War but to Bolt Action Korea: from 8 August 1950 it fought in South Korea, defended the Pusan perimeter and supported the Marine landings at Inchon. Its 90 mm gun is gyro-stabilised and proved itself against North Korean T-34s. In American lists for Korea you field it as a heavy tank against enemy armour. Stat card and decals are included.
