Product details

Background & context

In the Second World War reconnaissance was the domain of light armoured cars, fast on the road and helpless as soon as the ground turned soft. In the Konflikt '47 setting the US Army draws the logical conclusion and fields striding chassis that simply step over trenches, rubble and mud. The M3A2 is that approach in its most uncompromising form: barely any armour, little firepower, but speed and cross-country ability instead. The crew survives by not getting hit in the first place.

On the tabletop

In Konflikt '47 the Pondskater replaces the scout cars of the US Army. It is fast and light, with thin armour and armament, so speed is its real protection. On its legs it steps over trenches, rubble and mud that stop wheeled vehicles. Use it as a scout on the flanks, take objectives early and pull it back before heavy weapons can draw a bead on it. In skilled hands it is very hard to pin down.
