Product details

Background & context

The M26 Pershing reached Europe in February 1945 as the T26E3 through the Zebra Mission and was the first US tank that could meet the Panther and Tiger on equal terms. It did not have much time: only a few units took it into combat before the surrender, and the best-known duel took place in front of Cologne Cathedral. As with every crew, anything that no longer fitted inside went outside - bedrolls, crates, jerrycans and captured items, lashed to the hull and turret basket.

On the tabletop

Eight resin parts with jerrycans, tarpaulins and baggage cover the bare surfaces of the Pershing from Rubicon kit 280116. The M26 only arrived in Europe in February 1945 and saw just a short period of service, but soon showed signs of it. With this stowage your heavy tank looks front-line rather than factory fresh. Some pieces only fit particular spots.
