    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Later Levy Javelinmen represent the peasant conscripts (Hupshu) of the Late Bronze Age, who were drafted into the armies of the Syro-Canaanite city-states, the Mitanni Empire, Middle Assyria, Kassite Babylonia, and the Hittite Empire. Lightly clad and without heavy armament or armor, these men served as skirmishers and light support troops. The figures are equally suitable for Bedouin nomad armies such as the Midianites or early Arameans, as well as Shekelesh or Teresh in Sea Peoples armies.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Later Levy Javelinmen I are used in Hail Caesar as light infantry, skirmishers, or mobile close combat support for Mesopotamian, Syrian, or Elamite Bronze Age city-state and palace armies. In the game, the unit disrupts enemy movement, occupies terrain, and protects heavier troops from flank attacks. They should utilize distance, cover, and mobility and not engage in close combat against organized heavy infantry alone.
