The later Highland peoples of the Zagros and eastern Taurus Mountains included Hurrians, Turukkeans and early Kassites of the Middle Bronze Age, as well as tribal groups of the Armenian Mountains as far as northwest Iran in the Late Bronze Age, including the tribes of the Nairi lands around Lake Van and the early Urartians.
