Later Highlander Warriors I contains 8 Highlander warriors (metal). The included models are made of metal and are supplied as unpainted tabletop kits. The later Highlanders of the Zagros and eastern Taurus Mountains include peoples of the Middle and Late Bronze Age: Hurrians, Turukkeans and early Kassites of the Middle Bronze Age, as well as tribes of the Armenian mountains into northwestern Iran in the Late Bronze Age - including the tribes of the Nairi lands around Lake Van and the early Urartians.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The later Highlanders of the Zagros and Eastern Taurus Mountains include peoples of the Middle and Late Bronze Age: Hurrians, Turukkeans, and early Kassites of the Middle Bronze Age, as well as, in the Late Bronze Age, tribes from the Armenian mountains extending into northwestern Iran - including the tribes of the Nairi lands around Lake Van and the early Urartians. These warriors were equipped with a mix of spears, axes, and shields, and wore boots for protection against the rugged terrain of the highlands surrounding the Mesopotamian lowlands. The figures are also suitable as early Thracians who served as allies in Late Achaean or Mycenaean armies of the Late Bronze Age.

Einsatz im Spiel

Later Highlander Warriors I are used in Hail Caesar as mobile close combat or retinue infantry for Mesopotamian, Syrian, or Elamite Bronze Age city-state and palace armies. In the game, the unit occupies terrain, supports the main line, and attacks vulnerable targets, without taking on the role of a rigid spear or hoplite formation. They are most effective when working in conjunction with missile troops, chariots, or heavier troops, so that mobility and close combat pressure are not squandered in isolation.
