The later Highlanders of the Zagros and eastern Taurus Mountains include peoples of the Middle and Late Bronze Age: Hurrians, Turukkeans and early Kassites of the Middle Bronze Age, as well as tribes of the Armenian mountains into northwestern Iran in the Late Bronze Age - including the tribes of the Nairi lands around Lake Van and the early Urartians.
