    Background & context

    Als die KPA im Juni 1950 über den 38. Breitengrad rollte, war ihre 105. Panzerbrigade mit rund 120 T-34/85 die schärfste Waffe des Angriffs. Die südkoreanische Armee hatte praktisch nichts dagegenzusetzen, und auch die ersten amerikanischen Panzerabwehrteams prallten an der Schrägpanzerung ab. Erst mit schwereren Waffen und der Luftüberlegenheit der UN-Truppen ging die Brigade bis zum Herbst verloren.

    On the tabletop

    Three half figures go in the hatches of your North Korean tanks, while three more stand beside them as a dismounted crew. In Bolt Action the dismounted men serve as objective markers or, using the Tank War supplement, as a crew bailing out of their destroyed tank to save their experience in a campaign. An optional rule from the same book even lets them fight on foot and take objectives. Historically the People's Army rolled across the 38th parallel in 1950 with T-34/85s.
